Growing Without Dropping the Price.

A premium brand in a category that runs on discounting. The job was to grow without joining in, so the ads had to look like the brand instead of a sale.

Expanded into a location on Rodeo Drive

What we made

What we built for them.

The The brand website we built

Rebuilt from an ecommerce shop into a brand that sells a bottle and books an appointment, with the booking system wired into the same site.

The problem

What they came to us with.

Five agencies before us, and five sets of promises that did not arrive. By the time she got to us what she wanted was not a bigger team or a longer deck — it was somebody personal enough to actually pick up, and close enough to the work to fix it.

The brand was selling a bottle and nothing else, which put a ceiling on it: a good product with a shop around it, rather than a name people would travel to.

How we did it

How we did it.

  1. Scaled the bottle on Meta first.Direct to consumer, run properly, at 3× on ad spend — which is what paid for everything that came after it.
  2. Moved the brand off the shelf. From an ecommerce shop selling a product to a name that sells the product and the appointment. The image had to carry a studio before a studio could open.
  3. A new site, with booking in it.One place to buy the mousse or book a spray tan, rather than a shop with a calendar bolted on the side of it.
  4. Two rooms, one of them on Rodeo Drive. The demand the ads built is what made a physical location make sense, and then a second one.

Where it went

Three times on ad spend, and then a room on Rodeo Drive.

The mousse scaled first. Direct to consumer on Meta, run properly, at three times on ad spend — and an account that returns three for one is an account that pays for whatever comes next.

What came next was a room. Then a second one, on Rodeo Drive, which is not a sentence either of us expected to be writing about a bottle of tanning mousse. We built the site, the booking and the ads. The owner built the business. We are very happy we got to watch it.

In their words

What they said after.

I am honestly so impressed with Shane and the Launch & Found team. After working with so many agencies that overpromised and underdelivered, it has been such a relief having a team that actually cares and feels so personal. They helped completely transform The brand, from our website and booking system to our ads and overall brand. Since working together, we have grown so much and even opened two physical locations, including Rodeo Drive, which still feels surreal. I could not recommend them enough.
