The website stops looking generic
The single fastest way to make a site look expensive is real photographs of the actual thing. No amount of design rescues a page built on stock images of somebody else's kitchen.
Everything else we do runs on pictures. The site, the ads, the posts, the thing somebody screenshots and sends to their partner. This is where those come from, and it is the difference between a business that looks like it charges what it charges and one that does not.
London, Ontario · travelling where the job calls for it · every project quoted on its own
This is the piece that ties the rest together. A site, a set of ads and a social feed built from the same afternoon look like one business. Built from stock photos and whatever was on somebody's phone, they look like three.
The single fastest way to make a site look expensive is real photographs of the actual thing. No amount of design rescues a page built on stock images of somebody else's kitchen.
Creative is the single biggest lever in a paid account, ahead of targeting and well ahead of bidding. Most campaigns that go nowhere go nowhere because there was nothing good to run.
Same look, same colour, same hand, running from the home page down to the last post. That consistency is most of what people mean when they say a brand feels established.
You are paying for a day and what comes out of it, not for a list of separate line items.
The set the whole business runs on. Premises, people, product and the details, lit and shot to the standard the rest of this page is talking about.
Proper cinema kit and a proper grade. The brand film that sits on the home page, and the one you send when somebody asks who you are.
Cut for nine by sixteen from the start rather than cropped down from something made for a wider frame, which is what makes most reposted ads look wrong.
Licensed, and used where the property, the site or the scale of the job actually needs it rather than because the drone came along.
Clean studio work for the shop, and the close, textural frames that carry a premium brand more than the wide shots do.
The job site, the build, the event, the room at six in the morning for the light. Most of what makes a business look real is not shot in a studio.
Sixteen by nine, four by five, one by one, nine by sixteen. Every crop the site and the ad accounts will ask for, delivered at the same time.
The set every business eventually needs and nobody has ever got round to. Consistent, lit the same way, and not five phone photos taken in five different rooms.
Full resolution originals and the graded exports, licensed to you for anything you want to do with them. No per use fee turning up later.
Most of what we shoot is within an hour of London. The city itself, St Thomas, Woodstock, Strathroy and out along the lake. There is no travel line on a quote for any of that.
Beyond that we will go wherever the work is, and we have. If the shoot is a flight away, the travel is worked into the quote up front as its own number so you can see exactly what it is costing and decide whether it earns its place. What we will not do is quietly bill it afterwards.
There is no retainer and no monthly anything. You book a day, we shoot it, you get the files.
A call about what the business needs the pictures to do, then one number covering the day, the kit, the edit and the travel if there is any. Every project is priced on its own, because a half day of stills for a trades company and a three day brand shoot are not the same job.
A date, a call sheet and a shot list agreed before anybody turns up, so the day runs to a plan rather than to whatever we notice while we are there. You know what is being shot and roughly when, and what we need from you on the day.
Usually one day, sometimes two. Will directs, and it is run as a proper production rather than somebody wandering about with a camera, which is most of why the results do not look like the results of somebody wandering about with a camera.
Graded, cut to every crop the site and the ad accounts need, and delivered as a gallery you can download from and share with whoever else needs it. Seven days from the shoot, not from whenever we get to it.
A day of stills for a local trades business and a three day brand shoot with a crew, a location and a flight are not the same job, and a page that quoted them the same way would be wrong about at least one of them. So every project is quoted on its own.
What we can tell you is how it is built: the shoot day, the kit the job actually needs, the edit and grade, and travel if there is any. Each as its own line, before you commit to anything. If your budget will not carry the shoot the job really wants, we will tell you what it would take and what we would do instead for the money you have, rather than quietly making a smaller version and calling it the same thing.
No. Plenty of the shoots we do are the only work we do for that business, and that is a perfectly good way to use us. It is worth saying that a shoot booked alongside the ads or a new site usually gets more out of the same day, because we know exactly what the pictures have to fill before we plan the shot list, but it is not a condition of anything.
It depends on the day, and we would rather quote properly than put a number on a page that turns out to be wrong for you. Tell us what the business is and what you need the pictures to do, and you will have a real number back with the day, the kit, the edit and any travel each broken out on it.
Within seven days of the shoot. Graded, cut to every crop the site and the ad accounts need, in a gallery you can download from and pass to anybody else who needs it. If something is genuinely bigger than that, a multi day production with a long edit, we tell you the real date before you book, rather than letting the week quietly slide.
Yes. Anything within about an hour of London carries no travel charge at all. Further than that and we will go wherever the shoot is, with the travel costed on the quote as its own line so you can see it and decide. It is never added afterwards.
Only if you want to be. For a lot of businesses the owner on camera is the strongest thing we can shoot, because people buy from people. If that is not you, we shoot the work instead: the crew, the process, the premises and the finished result.
You do, for anything you want to do with them, in full resolution. No per use fee and nothing that expires. We will usually ask whether we can show the work in our own portfolio, and if you would rather we did not, that is a straight no with no argument.
For anything outdoors we agree a fallback date when we book the first one, and we make the call the day before rather than having everybody turn up and stand around. Moving a day for weather never costs you anything.
Usually, and sometimes we will suggest you do not. If there is an existing look worth keeping we will shoot and grade to it so the new work sits beside the old. If what you have is holding the brand back, we will say so, and then it is your call.

Tell us what you do and where. We will come back with what we would shoot in a day, what you would get out of it, and what it would cost, itemised.
